While coffee and lemon have undeniable health benefits at different times of day (and in moderate quantities), some dietary habits may prove harmful to the human organism. “Miracle drinks” are going viral on social media; “fat-burning” is one of the most searched for topics and we’ve lost count of the cocktails that will make you miraculously lose weight in no time at all. The latest “trend”: a mixture of coffee and lemon juice to be taken twice a day on an empty stomach… A practice that may well greatly increase the acidity of your digestive system and cause serious problems.

Weight-loss doesn’t just happen overnight; only a carefully designed programme, “naturally” implemented, can offer lasting results with no risk to your health. To think otherwise would be akin to thinking that anyone who was not a complete freak could learn ten foreign languages in under 10 days…
