The Dangers of Coffee?

Ordering his favourite drink at a Californian Starbucks drive-through, a man found himself with large burns on his hands, his stomach… and a part of his anatomy we cannot mention without grimacing in sympathy, given that the said part, below the belt, was nastily scalded. At almost 200° Celsius, a “Starbucks”, like any other drink at that temperature, can cause serious burns.

The problem is that the incident is not a one-off; numerous complaints have been recorded, pointing to a possible design flaw in the single-use lidded cups used by the American giant, internationally known for its takeaway coffees.
