Corsican Vin Mariani and Coca Cola: A Matter of Heritage…

A new version of the Corsican Vin Mariani will probably be banned from using the name “Coca” on its bottles by the Atlantan giant. Is that entirely justified? Not really… To understand the ongoing lawsuit and what might seem like wrongful use of a duly patented name, you need to go back in time to the point where the “very famous and much loved Mariani Tonic Wine with Bolivian Coca” enters the story.
