Cannabis wine has been around in California for more than a decade; it combines wine’s aromatic potential with the relaxing effects of cannabidiol, which, unlike tetrahydrocannabinol or “THC”, is a molecule from the famous cultivated cannabis, authorized in France for its soothing properties. Although, from a legal point of view, it is not really a wine, the vinification methods are almost identical.
The idea came to Raphaël de Pablo from Bordeaux after some intellectual reading about a Gaulish “cannabis wine.”
