Cola vs Cola: Vin Mariani Sees Red

We talked about this before, on 18 March, but the American giant’s determination to get the better of the Corsican firm is undaunted; as owner Christophe Mariani (no relation to the original inventor of Vin Mariani) puts it: “We didn’t get up one morning and decide to plagiarize Coca-Cola. I hoped they would back down, but they won’t drop it.”

Due to the “Streisand effect”, this business seems to be working to the benefit of the Corsican entrepreneur more than the Atlantan firm.
