Marriage venue for the two planet-wide stars and a producer of excellent rosé wines, the jointly owned estate of the couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, “Château Miraval” was purchased in 2008. It was long thought to be the final piece of material property linking the two actors; after filing for divorce in 2016, Angelina Jolie permanently broke her “symbolic link” with Brad Pitt, selling her whole share (50%) of Château Miraval to Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli group.
While Damian McKinney, CEO of the Stoli Group, expressed his delight at “working alongside Brad Pitt”, the international star set in motion a lawsuit for “unauthorized sale” against his ex-wife at the Los Angeles Courthouse. The highly mediatized legal battle has not, for now, changed anything for the French management team at Cave Miraval: “It’s business as usual, and we will soon be bringing out our delicious 2021 Miraval Rosé”.
