Cow’s Milk Can Be Alcohol, Fuel, and Disinfectant too…

How can pasteurization waste be reused? Billions of litres of such waste are poured away by Canadian farmers as part of the production of pasteurized milk. One business in Ontario has decided to upcycle this waste material and turn it into ethanol, a primary ingredient in disinfectants, fuel, and even a vodka! Thus, “Vodkow” was produced, a vodka conditioned in a milk bottle, whose development apparently required input from scientists at the University of Ottawa.
